In your role as an LCSW, you will take on significant responsibilities that directly impact patient care. Your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments to understand patients’ emotional and psychological needs, developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implementing a variety of therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) tailored to the specific needs of patients facing terminal illnesses.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and the highest standards of care.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate comprehensive patient care that enhances treatment outcomes.
• Participating in team meetings and case consultations to discuss progress and strategies for patient engagement.
• Providing education to patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment methods, and available community resources to empower them throughout their care journey.
• Staying informed on the latest research in mental health and integrating new findings into your practice to optimize patient outcomes.

You will primarily work with patients facing life-limiting medical conditions, along with their families, fostering a supportive environment that addresses both mental health and emotional crisis management. Your expertise will be critical in guiding clients through grief, anxiety, and emotional distress associated with serious illness, ensuring that every individual feels heard, supported, and respected.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, demonstrating a strong foundation in social work principles and practices.
• A current, valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida, affirming your commitment to professional standards.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on providing psychotherapy services and addressing complex mental health challenges.
• Proficient in solutions-focused psychotherapy techniques, with a proven ability to foster meaningful change in clients' lives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to navigate multifaceted clinical situations.

• Experience working in hospice, palliative care, or similar settings will be an advantage, allowing you to better understand the unique needs of this patient population.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and digital communication tools to enhance remote patient interactions and care delivery.
• A clinical background that includes knowledge of trauma-informed care principles to support clients through their experiences.
