Job description

This full-time remote Paralegal position, ideally suited for candidates residing in Florida, involves directly supporting a small legal team of 3-6 attorneys. The ideal candidate will bring eviction experience and the ability to work independently under the general supervision of multiple lawyers. The role focuses on case management, legal drafting, document production, research, and thorough investigation, employing both standard office and specialized legal software tools. Opportunities for advancement to larger attorney groups and cross-training in additional practice areas are available. In addition to day-to-day eviction work, this role may also be responsible for the following from time to time:

Responsibilities

  • Organize evidence including master case files, and exhibits
  • Create trial notebooks with reference binders and digital files for attorneys
  • Track and diarize court dates, filing deadlines, and statutory timelines
  • Draft pleadings such as complaints, motions, briefs, and appeals
  • Prepare discovery documents including interrogatories and requests for production
  • Draft transactional contracts, leases, and settlement documents
  • Research legal precedents
  • Verify public records, timelines, and submitted case data for accuracy
  • Gather formal affidavits and declarations

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in legal support
  • Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
