Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Supervisor, Administrative Support is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Administrative Support Team. This role will maintain all department workflow documentation and drive performance by suggesting effective improvements to current workflows. The Supervisor, Administrative Support will monitor the accuracy and productivity of Digital Review Specialists, ensuring performance standards are achieved. Assess team performance, develop staff by implementing goals and objectives. The Supervisor, Administrative Support will act as the point of contact for vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Oversees daily work activities of the Administrative Support Team
  • Oversee daily administrative support activities including claims intake, documentation, data entry, and correspondence handling
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of administrative tasks supporting claims processing
  • Monitor workflow queues and adjust priorities to meet departmental deadlines and service standards
  • Identify and resolve operational issues that impact efficiency or quality
  • Ensures systems and procedures are documented; training material developed, and reports generated to meet business needs
  • Responsible for workflow reporting for turnaround and auditing purposes
  • Responsible for scheduling, managing workflows and priorities, and communicating with management as needed to ensure effective teamwork
  • Assists manager with development and execution of individual and team goals.
  • Leads ad hoc projects
  • Lead, coach, motivate and develop. Responsible for one-on-one meetings, performance appraisals, growth opportunities and attracting new talent.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, provide employees with the training, resources, and information needed to succeed
  • Actively engage, coach, counsel and provide timely, and constructive performance feedback
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College Degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience or demonstrated leadership potential. (i.e., previous team lead role, project leader, etc.) is required
  • Intermediate level work experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software applications required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • The ability to multitask and successfully operate in a fast-paced, team environment is required
