Work Environment

The role is entirely remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from your own space while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our outpatient setting means you will primarily engage with clients in a non-inpatient, supportive atmosphere, leveraging video chat technology to minimize barriers to access and enhance client connection.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions via video chat, focusing on improving clients' mental health by encouraging open discussions about their emotions and life experiences.
• Utilize clinical knowledge to develop personalized treatment plans that are practical and goal-oriented, drawing from your professional experience to create tailored solutions for clients.
• Evaluate clients’ mental health conditions, identifying any underlying issues, and adapt treatment strategies accordingly to foster their personal growth.
• Act as a compassionate client advocate, guiding clients in defining and reaching their personal goals for better mental health.
• Monitor and document client progress regularly, ensuring that all sessions are logged accurately within our secure electronic health record system.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this position, you will work exclusively with clients who have been carefully screened to ensure they are stable adults with low acuity. This allows you to focus on providing meaningful therapy without the complications that can arise from severely impaired individuals. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology. Additionally, licensure is essential; you must hold a valid and unrestricted license to practice independently in California, including but not limited to:

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

It is important that applicants do not have limited or provisional licenses and that there have been no disciplinary actions against their professional standing.

Preferred Experience

Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal abilities and a sincere, empathetic nature, essential for building rapport with clients. Proficiency with computer systems and a high level of comfort using telehealth platforms are critical in this remote role. Previous experience in mental health counseling is preferable, particularly with adults, to effectively guide your clients through their therapy journeys.
