Job description

Overview
DecisionPoint Corp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect and Platform Manager to lead the architectural design, implementation, and management of large-scale enterprise platforms within the Department of War (DoW) environment.
In this role, you will serve as the technical authority and strategic leader, ensuring that our customer's enterprise systems are secure, scalable, resilient, and fully aligned with DoW mission readiness standards. This is a fully remote position that requires an individual capable of bridging the gap between high-level mission requirements and distributed technical execution, managing platform lifecycles, and leading engineering teams to success.
This position is fully remote.
Duties & Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Strategy
  • Lead the design, development, and evolution of complex, multi-tiered DoW enterprise platform architectures.
  • Ensure all platform designs strictly adhere to the DoW Enterprise Architecture framework, Zero Trust principles, and relevant DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations to optimize platform performance, reduce technical debt, and ensure long-term scalability.

Platform Management & Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day platform management in a remote capacity, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and optimal performance of mission-critical systems.
  • Establish and enforce rigorous platform governance, change management policies, and configuration management controls.
  • Drive automation initiatives across environment provisioning, deployments, and monitoring to enhance operational efficiency.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact (POC) for stakeholders, including DoW program managers, contracting officers, and partner teaming representatives.
  • Mentor, guide, and collaborate with a distributed, multidisciplinary team of engineers, administrators, and developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to manage the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, maintaining the platform's Authorization to Operate (ATO).

Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in enterprise systems architecture, platform engineering, or a closely related technical leadership role.
  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain an Active DoW Secret Security Clearance.
  • DoW Enterprise Experience: Proven track record of architecting and managing large-scale platforms within a Department of War (DoW) or military service branch environment.
  • Technical Proficiencies: * Deep understanding of enterprise-level cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in AWS (including AWS GovCloud).
    • Demonstrated experience managing multiple environments (development, test, staging, production) in direct support of application development teams.
    • Strong familiarity with modern deployment methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
    • Experience designing, operating, and securing platforms across DoW cyber security environments, including IL4 and IL5, in alignment with RMF and ATO requirements.
    • Experience with low-code development platforms is required; experience with OutSystems is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Active DoW 8570/8140 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CISSP) or equivalent platform/architecture certifications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DoW enterprise IT programs.
  • Familiarity with GovCon frameworks and delivering milestone-driven contract requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex technical structures to non-technical executive leadership via virtual collaboration tools.

Compensation: Anticipated salary range is $165,000.00-$170,000.00 per year.
