Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mood disorder symptoms, including their intensity, frequency, and duration.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to establish personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique requirements, goals, and preferences.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in sessions, adapting techniques to suit individual client needs.
  • Educate and support clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.
  • Monitor client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans and methodologies as necessary based on ongoing assessments.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals to facilitate integrated care for clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance your treatment strategies and effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Dutchess Psychotherapy Services, you will work with a diverse clientele characterized by varying degrees of mental health challenges, including individuals, couples, and families dealing with mood disorders, trauma, and anxiety. Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
