A Day in the Life
Enterprise Operations Insights (EOI) - Subject Matter Expert and Scrum Product Owner For GOSC Finance
At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts.
This role partners with business stakeholders to understand and solve business problems.
Primarily they are responsible for building insights and analytics while providing subject matter expertise, technical knowledge, and analytic product ownership. They will create user workflows, analytics, and insights to bring them to life.
The role leads an existing team (squad) within Enterprise Operations Insights (EOI) dedicated to the GOSC Finance function within Medtronic. The mission of this role is to contribute to the building of INSIGHTS to drive best-in-class practices and tools within GOSC Finance.
The role will also need to work hand in hand with other departments within Enterprise Operations Insights (EOI), including running daily scrum meetings with the Analytics Development Team and the Data Engineering Team to manage the creation and deployment of solutions that simplify our customers processes and generate insights that align with our customers goals. This role requires you to be the user of your tools and generate insights to share with the business.
This role needs to provide excellent customer service in a way that helps our stakeholders perform at their very best.
The role will move with decisiveness and courage, driving experimentation and calculated risk taking to create solutions that are simple, innovative, and the best possible for our stakeholders.
Furthermore, the role needs to seek best practices, educate our stakeholders, and be an agent of change within the organization to educate and drive data-based decisions and workflows for our stakeholders.
*Fully remote for the right candidate, but we prefer candidates located near any Medtronic facility. Current team members are located near Medtronic facilities in Minneapolis, Memphis, Jacksonville, Canada, and Ireland.
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the ideation and creation of analytical solutions for various functions.
  • Capture requirements and suggest improvements for analytical processes.
  • Collaborate extensively across cross-functional teams and the organization.
  • Drive the development and deployment of analytical solutions, fostering analytics and insights that yield positive business outcomes.
  • Ensure the development of Analytics & Insights aligns with the End-to-End (E2E) business processes and business objectives.
  • Act as a key resource to support and drive analytics initiatives.
  • Ensure a high level of customer value and satisfaction through extreme ownership.
  • Promote the adoption and usage of analytics tools and insights.
  • Support training of analytic tools.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of solutions.
  • Serve as a steward of your analytics by generating insights for business use cases.
  • Travel: Up to 25%, although often only once a quarter

Qualifications:
Must Have (Minimum Requirements) :
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Nice to Have
  • Requires a University Degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Finance Analytics with past responsibilities as a Product Owner in a Scrum environment.
  • Ability to influence decisions and drive projects to completion.
  • SQL, Snowflake, and Oracle data model experience
  • Visualization experience such as PowerBI
  • PowerApps and Power Automate experience.
  • Experience working with Agile tools such as DevOps

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$123,200.00 - $184,800.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
