About this Role

The Sourcing Specialist I supports the procurement and sourcing activities for Transmission, Substation, and Distribution projects. This entry-level role works closely with internal teams to assist in preparing bid packages, managing vendor communications, and evaluating proposals. It is ideal for candidates beginning their career in supply chain, procurement, or sourcing within the utility or EPC industry.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in preparing and issuing material bid packages for EPC projects.
  • Support the review of client RFPs and engineering documents to identify sourcing requirements and scopes.
  • Help validate material quantities and specifications from engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Coordinate with internal teams to develop bidder lists and collect vendor prequalification information.
  • Track and organize vendor quotes and proposal documents in sourcing systems.
  • Participate in bid evaluations and assist in summarizing vendor proposals for internal review.
  • Support negotiations and vendor communications under the guidance of senior sourcing staff.
  • Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and ensure compliance with internal policies.
  • Contribute to special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or related roles. Basic understanding of procurement processes and vendor management. Experience with sourcing or project management tools preferred (e.g., Procore, SAP, Oracle). Internship or co-op experience in a sourcing or supply chain role preferred. Exposure to Transmission & Distribution (T&D) materials or electric utility projects, &/or Familiarity with reading engineering drawings or BOMs is a plus.
