Black Fox Global Advancement Specialist Type: Contract | Part-Time Location: Remote Rate: $55–$65/hour About Black Fox Global Black Fox Global is a growing consultancy that builds fundraising strength and organizational capacity for nonprofits operating across more than 40 countries and all SDG areas. Our clients are doing consequential work — addressing global health, humanitarian response, climate, education, and more — and our role is to help them secure the funding that makes that work possible. We are a small, senior team. We work closely with clients as strategic partners and an extension of their staff. The quality of our work is our reputation, and we hold that standard consistently. The Role This is a senior relationship strategy role for someone who thinks in systems, reads the funding landscape with precision, and equips clients to advance their most important funder relationships with confidence and discipline. The Advancement Specialist works directly with clients to develop and implement outreach strategies targeting pre-identified funding prospects. You will coach clients through the relationship-building process — advising on approach, sequencing, messaging, and prioritization — so they can move funding conversations forward effectively and independently. In addition to implementing Black Fox Global funder engagement methodology, you will serve as the Strategic Advisor and accountability partner behind the client’s efforts, ensuring their time and energy are invested in the relationships most likely to result in significant, sustainable funding. Scope of Work Funder Outreach Strategy & Implementation * Develop and deploy tailored outreach strategies for each client based on pre-identified funding prospects from our research phase or from the client’s current pipeline  * Coach clients on sequencing, framing, and approach for each prospect relationship * Advise and support written communications, LOI submissions, and meeting preparation * Build and implement funding roadmaps that help clients visualize and execute a clear path toward new funding relationships Client Advisory & Engagement * Lead regular client check-ins to review progress, troubleshoot obstacles, and maintain engagement momentum * Guide clients on building and sustaining an internal culture of philanthropy that supports long-term fundraising success * Help clients prioritize and reprioritize prospects in collaboration with our research team as the engagement evolves * Collaborate with our communications team to support messaging and materials that strengthen client outreach Engagement Management * Monitor progress against deliverables over the full arc of each engagement * Manage client expectations with clarity and professionalism; flag scope changes or timeline risks to BFG leadership early * Deliver a final End of Engagement Playbook capturing strategies, assets, and lessons learned so clients can sustain momentum post-engagement * Manage multiple client projects concurrently, with strong project ownership across each What We’re Looking For * 7+ years of experience in fundraising, development, or advancement — with demonstrated success in funder relationship cultivation and securing funding * Deep familiarity with diverse funding ecosystems, including a primary focus on foundations, and supplemental focus on individual giving, bilateral funders, corporate philanthropy, blended capital, and alternative funding sources * Deep familiarity with diverse funding geographies globally * Proven ability to quickly absorb a new organization and advise compellingly on its funding positioning * Strong coaching and advisory presence — able to guide clients through complex relationship dynamics without doing the work for them * Excellent project management discipline; self-directed and accountable without heavy internal oversight * Familiarity with AI tools with a commitment to accuracy and ethical application * Cross-functional expertise in fundraising narrative communications, grant writing, and/or funder research a plus  * Spanish or French fluency a plus Output Standard * Clients are equipped and confident to advance their most aligned funder relationships, building on tangible momentum built during the implementation work of our engagement * Outreach strategies are coherent, sequenced, and grounded in realistic funder decision-making timelines * Engagements close with a clear playbook clients can act on independently * BFG’s integrity and reputation are reflected in every client interaction and deliverable Engagement Structure Type: Part-time contractor Rate: $55–$65/hour, commensurate with experience Projects: Flex contractors may carry 1-3 concurrent client engagements; Core contractors may carry 4-7 concurrent client engagements  Schedule: Flexible; deliverable-based with agreed timelines Location: Fully remote
