Job description

Operator / Technician Contract Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Reliability Lab Operator / Failure Analysis Technician to join our client's team in Fort Collins, Colorado on a long-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with advanced laboratory equipment, follows established procedures, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Operate Failure Analysis (FA) equipment after completing the required training, including:
    • Optical Microscope
    • Acoustic Microscope
    • X-Ray
    • Curve Trace
    • Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR)
    • Additional FA tools and equipment as needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance on FA equipment and other laboratory systems following training.
  • Complete failure analysis tasks as assigned, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Document findings in comprehensive final reports and accurately enter data into the appropriate database.
  • Communicate effectively with team members through email and in-person discussions regarding project needs, progress, and results.
  • Follow established laboratory procedures while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn and operate technical laboratory equipment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Previous laboratory, electronics, semiconductor, or failure analysis experience is a plus but not required.
