This full-time remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while providing essential mental health services to clients in Hayward, California, and surrounding areas. Our mission is to empower individuals and families through impactful therapy and support, and we seek a dedicated professional eager to make a difference.

About the Organization

California Neurobehavioral Associates is a leading provider in mental health services, known for our commitment to innovative therapeutic approaches and holistic care. Our team comprises experienced clinicians who excel in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. We believe in creating a workplace where every clinician is equipped to grow professionally while promoting healing and resilience among our clients.

Work Environment

This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing for flexibility and the ability to focus on client care without the constraints of a typical office environment. Our remote operations facilitate a dynamic team culture where regular virtual check-ins, team meetings, and collaborative platforms ensure you remain integrated and engaged with your colleagues. We value work-life balance and understand the importance of mental wellness in our team!

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play an instrumental role in improving the mental health and emotional well-being of our clients. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.
  • Developing personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, setting measurable goals, and regularly evaluating progress to inform ongoing therapy.
  • Providing ongoing support to clients facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relational issues, with a focus on resilience and coping strategies.
  • Facilitating group therapy sessions to foster community support, social interactions, and personal growth.
  • Staying committed to professional development by expanding your clinical skills through training in specialized areas, such as trauma-informed care, addiction counseling, or grief therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population of adults, adolescents, and families, experiencing a wide range of mental health issues. You will address complex emotional difficulties and trauma, and help clients navigate the challenges of modern life, contributing towards their journey of healing and personal growth.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A completed Masterโ€™s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Current California State LMHC licensure.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to client care, with a demonstrated ability to understand and support diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong skills in communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work efficiently within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Capability to identify high-risk psychosocial factors affecting client health and wellbeing.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with at least 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, including experiences with various therapeutic modalities, crisis intervention, and working within outpatient settings. Familiarity with telehealth practices and platforms is advantageous as this role will leverage technology in service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this role is between $110,000 and $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) policy.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
  • Continuing education reimbursements for professional development.
  • Flexible work schedule.
Career Growth Opportunities

At California Neurobehavioral Associates, we prioritize the professional growth of our clinicians. We encourage participation in ongoing training, workshops, and certifications, with clear pathways for career advancement within our organization. We recognize the contributions of our team members and provide mentorship opportunities to help foster your clinical and leadership skills.

Why Join Our Team
