A Remote Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating business operations from a remote location rather than a traditional office setting. This role typically involves managing teams, workflows, and processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with company goals, all while leveraging digital tools and communication platforms. Remote Operations Managers must be skilled in virtual leadership, project management, and problem-solving to effectively support distributed teams. Their duties often include monitoring key performance indicators, implementing process improvements, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations despite geographical distances.

What does a remote operations manager do?

The job duties of a remote operations manager involve managing a production process or the provision of a service. As a remote operations manager, you work from home to monitor business operations, plan a budget, and come up with strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and profits. Some of your job responsibilities vary depending on the industry in which you work. In fields such as production, you oversee quality assurance (QA) operations. In all positions, you coordinate with employees and departments and run meetings virtually. Some jobs require you to visit work or production sites occasionally.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote operations manager, and why are they important?

To succeed as a Remote Operations Manager, you need strong leadership, project management, and organizational skills, usually supported by a relevant degree and operations experience. They schedule regular virtual check-ins, set clear expectations, and monitor progress using project management software. Building trust and fostering engagement are crucial, as is being proactive in addressing time zone differences and potential communication barriers. This role often requires adaptability and strong problem-solving skills to maintain team cohesion and operational efficiency in a remote environment.

Job description

Summary:
Who We Are
At Brush Creek Ranch, we are more than just a destination; we are an experience. Nestled in the stunning landscapes of Wyoming, we offer luxury adventure in the great outdoors. Working at Brush Creek Ranch means joining a team dedicated to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests. With a commitment to hospitality and service excellence, we foster an environment where you can thrive, grow, and bring your best self to work every day.
We are hiring a Reservations Agent to join the Brush Creek Ranch Luxury Ranch Collection sales and reservations team. This is a remote-friendly hospitality sales role - we are open to qualified remote candidates with relevant hospitality, reservations, or sales experience - offering a base hourly rate plus a quarterly incentive plan tied to individual performance goals. As a Reservations Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests exploring the Brush Creek Ranch Luxury Ranch Collection - including The Lodge & Spa, Magee Homestead, French Creek, and Platte Canyon Glamping - and will play a central role in converting inquiries into bookings through expert knowledge, value selling, and genuine hospitality. If you're a Reservations Agent, hotel reservations specialist, hospitality sales professional, or call center representative with hospitality experience looking for remote hotel reservations jobs, luxury ranch reservations agent roles, or hospitality sales positions with a performance-based incentive plan, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
  • Serve as a knowledgeable reservations sales professional for the full Brush Creek Ranch Luxury Ranch Collection - answering the BCR Reservations line and speaking confidently on all properties, including The Lodge & Spa, Magee Homestead, French Creek, and Platte Canyon Glamping; transferring calls to the appropriate department or person as needed
  • Make, modify, and cancel accommodations across all properties within the collection - efficiently and accurately entering guest information into the property management system, processing payments, and sending confirmations in a timely manner
  • Describe the all-inclusive Brush Creek Ranch guest experience - including room types, cabin details, deposit and cancellation policies, dining options, ranch activities, and other pertinent collection information - using value selling techniques with guests and members via telephone and email
  • Process online bookings and receive a high volume of incoming telephone calls promptly - demonstrating proper phone etiquette and a warm, professional guest-first communication style at all times
  • Maintain thorough and current knowledge of all guest services, activities, dining options, ranch programming, Farm events, sustainability initiatives, and historical information regarding Brush Creek Ranch and the surrounding Wyoming area
  • Manage inbound RFP lead forms from the website and email - sending proposals, logging inquiries accurately in the property management system, and following up on proposals and outbound sales to past leads
  • Assist with Travel Agent and Tour Operator reservations - maintaining knowledge of all affiliate standards and concessions
  • Work collaboratively with all resort departments to maintain maximum rapport and open communication channels across the Brush Creek Ranch Luxury Ranch Collection
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum one year of experience in a related field - including hospitality, hotel reservations, sales, or call center operations - required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - with the ability to courteously and confidently present information to guests in one-on-one and group settings via telephone and email
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook - experience with HMS or comparable property management and reservations systems preferred but not required
  • A positive attitude and genuine ability to work cooperatively and efficiently with a variety of guests, partners, and coworkers in a remote or in-person hospitality environment
  • A consistent commitment to fulfilling Brush Creek Ranch's core company values - Authentic, Friendly, Connective, Sustainable, Discovery, and Memorable - and exhibiting BCR Behavior Standards with guests, partners, and coworkers at all times
  • Flexibility to work days, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays as the needs of a luxury ranch reservations operation require
  • Reliability and punctuality - reporting to work at scheduled times and managing remote work responsibilities with professionalism and accountability

What You Can Look Forward To
  • Location flexibility - we are open to qualified remote candidates with relevant hospitality experience
  • Base hourly rate plus quarterly incentive plan tied to individual performance goals
  • Unlimited referral bonuses
  • 401(k) with company match after 1 month
  • Paid time off (PTO) with rollover for full-time associates
  • Numerous employee engagement activities and a positive work environment
  • Discounts on hotel rooms, dining, and other travel and entertainment experiences
  • Multiple opportunities for growth across our luxury ranch network
  • Full-time and seasonal associates also receive:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance - starting day 1

At Brush Creek Ranch, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
