About the role
At Reprise Financial, we're building a data-driven culture where trusted, accessible, and scalable data powers every decision. As the IT Senior Manager of Data Engineering,you'll lead the Data Operations team within IT Enterprise Data Management function responsible for ensuring the most critical data processes run accurately and efficiently ensuring data is used as a strategic asset-ensuring the platforms, pipelines, and processes behind our business are reliable, efficient, and scalable across the enterprise.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, people, and processes. You'll lead a team of highly technical data professionals, driving automation, modern data practices, and operational excellence while partnering closely with Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, and business leaders. The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-performing teams, solving complex data challenges, driving operational efficiencies, and creating scalable solutions that enable the business to move faster and make smarter decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Data Operations team through coaching, mentorship, and performance development.
  • Oversee the reliability, availability, and quality of enterprise data through effective management of data pipelines, integrations, and operational processes.
  • Ensure data governance standards, policies, and best practices are in place that promote data integrity, consistency, and responsible data use.
  • Partner with Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, and business leaders to prioritize and deliver data processes and efficiencies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Drive automation, modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scalability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee performance, scalability, and security of data platforms and tools that support business operations and analytics.
  • Lead incident management, root-cause analysis, and resolution of data-related issues while implementing preventative measures to reduce future risk.
  • Define and monitor key operational metrics and service levels to measure team effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or relevant technical degree (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree).
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data operations, analytics engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams and developing team members.
  • Experience building, optimizing, and supporting modern data ecosystems, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms.
  • Experience applying modern software engineering practices, including version control, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Expertise of data operations processes, data orchestration, workflow automation, job scheduling, and monitoring tools.
  • Expertise with SQL Server data platforms, ETL/ELT, services, and scheduling (SQL Server required).
  • Expertise with cloud-based data platforms and services (Azure or Fabric required).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, data modeling, database, and data warehouse design principles.
  • Candidates will be asked to successfully complete an Intermediate/Advanced SQL assessment as part of the interview process.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on delivering scalable solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and partner effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience within financial services, lending, fintech, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Experience in a Data Operations role as a lead or manager preferred.

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere that suits you best! While you'll primarily work from home, you are always welcome to visit our office in Irving, TX, whenever you choose. We encourage our remote team members to stay connected through regular virtual meetings and team events. All team members must reside in one of our approved locations by their start date, ensuring you remain part of our collaborative community.
Compensation
For this role our salary range is $120,000 to $150,000, depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
