Position Overview
The Volunteer Grant Research & Writing Coordinator supports the sustainability and growth of Warriors Art Room by identifying, researching, and assisting with grant opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, writing, and working independently while contributing to a mission-driven organization. The position is fully remote and flexible.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with Warriors Art Room's mission, including foundation, corporate, and local arts or veterans-focused grants
- Maintain a simple tracking list of grant opportunities, deadlines, and requirements
- Assist with drafting grant applications, narratives, and supporting materials
- Work with Warriors Art Room leadership to gather required financial, programmatic, and organizational information
- Help prepare boilerplate language and reusable content for grant submissions
- Flag reporting requirements and post-award follow-up deadlines when applicable
Qualifications
- Strong written communication skills
- Comfort with online research and basic document organization
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Interest in nonprofit work, arts, veterans' services, or community organizations
- Prior grant writing or nonprofit experience is helpful but not required
Time & Flexibility
- Work can be completed on your own schedule
- Weekly time commitment typically ranges from 2–5 hours, depending on grant cycles
- Short-term and long-term volunteer involvement welcomed
