Job description

Introduction:
Join our dedicated team as a Senior Control Systems Engineer, where you will lead complex engineering initiatives that support electric power generation facilities across North America. ENTRUST Solutions Group is an industry leader in engineering, consulting, and automation services, known for delivering innovative, reliable solutions that power communities and industries. In this role, you will be at the forefront of control systems engineering, supporting power generation projects while providing technical leadership across instrumentation, control, and electrical disciplines.

Responsibilities:
In this senior‑level role, you will lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of complex power generation engineering projects, with a primary focus on control systems while supporting related efforts such as balance‑of‑plant and electrical design activities. You will design and program both hardware and software systems for power plants, ensuring high performance, reliability, and compliance. This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, clients, and contractors through structured project processes including Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings. You will contribute technical expertise, resolve issues in real time, and support other team members through mentorship and collaboration. This position offers flexible work options—including remote, hybrid, or in‑office arrangements depending on location—and requires travel of approximately 15–30% to support project needs and client engagement.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages innovation.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, and flexible work schedules.
  • This position pays $110,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience, and is an exempt position. Benefits offered include company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident, and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full‑time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5–10+ years of experience in power generation engineering related to controls, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
  • Subject‑matter expertise in one or more control platforms, including DCS systems such as Emerson Ovation, GE Mark Systems, ABB Symphony, or Siemens T3000, as well as PLC and HMI platforms.
  • Strong understanding of power generation facility processes and the ability to interpret and troubleshoot drawings, hardware designs, and process diagrams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate comprehensive technical documents and client reports such as specifications and evaluations.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with peers, management, and clients.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20–40% locally and domestically.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or related technical field.
