Westside Counseling Services is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This is a full-time remote position based out of our community health clinic in Chicago, Illinois, and offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000. In this role, you will engage directly with a diverse clientele, assessing and managing various mental health conditions and tailoring therapeutic interventions that promote healing and recovery.

As a fully remote position, you will have the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions from your home or a location of your choice, while still receiving robust support from our administrative and clinical teams. • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status using standardized evaluation methods and structured interviews.
• Formulate individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and challenges faced by each client.
• Provide regular therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and culturally responsive techniques to foster trust and engagement.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating an inclusive environment that encourages open dialogue among participants.
• Remain available for ongoing support and crisis intervention, utilizing strong communication and situational assessment skills to effectively manage mental health crises.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health treatment through ongoing education and training.

Our clientele includes individuals dealing with a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders. • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid state-specific license (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to practice as a mental health professional.
• Minimum of four years of clinical experience with a variety of mental health disorders.
• Thorough understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and cultural competence in delivering therapy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport and foster a therapeutic alliance with clients.
• Proficient in the use of EHR systems and digital platforms to document patient progress and communicate with multidisciplinary team members.

• Experience in providing therapy in a community setting or clinic, particularly with underserved populations.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate feedback from clients and colleagues to refine therapeutic approaches.
• Proven crisis intervention experience in high-pressure situations.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and virtual counseling techniques.
