A Remote Oil Rig job involves working on offshore or isolated land-based drilling sites to extract oil and gas. These roles can include positions such as drillers, rig operators, engineers, and technicians. Workers typically stay on-site for weeks at a time, following a rotating schedule. The job requires physical endurance, technical skills, and strict adherence to safety protocols. Due to the remote location, accommodations, meals, and transportation are usually provided by the employer.

To thrive on a remote oil rig, you need a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or drilling operations as well as relevant safety certifications such as HAZWOPER, Well Control, or Offshore Survival (BOSIET). Most remote oil rig roles operate on a rotational schedule, such as two weeks on followed by two weeks off, allowing for extended time at home between shifts.
