Job description

Stop Problems Before They Stop Production

If you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in keeping equipment running the right way, GFS is looking for you. As a Preventative Maintenance Crew Member, youโ€™ll be out in the field maintaining and servicing paint booths and finishing systems that are critical to our customersโ€™ operations. Your work will focus on preventative maintenance, identifying potential issues before they turn into downtime, and troubleshooting equipment to keep customers productive.

This role is not a desk jobโ€”youโ€™ll be working directly with the equipment, using your mechanical skills, and collaborating with a team that values hard work, safety, and doing the job right. Youโ€™ll have the opportunity to work with proven systems, quality tools, and experienced teammates who support each other and take pride in the results.

What Success Looks Like

  • Replace filters and clean equipment in paint booths, prep stations, mix rooms, and related systems
  • Physically access booths and tunnels to remove paint buildup and perform deep cleaningโ€”youโ€™ll see the impact of your work firsthand
  • Perform general preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and at peak performance
  • Use power tools, testing equipment, and mechanical problem-solving skills to complete the job right
  • Communicate clearly with customers and teammates to ensure safe, efficient, and effective service

Qualifications That Shine

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Willingness to learn, show up, and put in an honest dayโ€™s workโ€”weโ€™ll provide the training
  • Comfortable with hands-on, physical work, including tight or confined spaces
  • Safety-minded with a positive attitude and willingness to take direction.

Why Youโ€™ll Love Working Here

  • Youโ€™ll Be Empowered โ€“ Youโ€™ll have autonomy in your role, supported by a team that trusts your judgment
  • Youโ€™ll Grow With Us โ€“ We invest in your training, development, and long-term career path
  • Youโ€™ll Be Rewarded โ€“ Competitive pay, performance incentives, 401(k) with profit sharing, and great benefits
  • Youโ€™ll Make a Real Impact โ€“ Your work supports businesses across North America and shapes the future of finishing technology
  • Youโ€™ll Join a Great Team โ€“ Weโ€™re growing fast, we value collaboration, and are committed to your success

Transparent Rewards
At GFS, we recognize the dedication behind every role and ensure that our compensation reflects both your impact and our shared success.

Pay Range: $19.61 โ€“ $24.70 per hour, based on your experience, skills, and qualifications.

Bonus Eligibility: This position is eligible for an annual individual incentive based on company performance. Maximum bonus amounts may vary depending on role.

Benefits: Eligible for standard company benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid time off, and other employee programs. More detailed information is available at 2026 GFS Benefits.

Actual compensation will be determined by factors including experience, education, certifications, skill level, and market conditions. For remote or hybrid positions, the listed pay range applies to applicants in the specified location.
