How to make $300,000 as a nurse?

Remote nurses can increase earnings by gaining specialized certifications, such as in case management or informatics, and working in high-demand areas or with agencies that offer higher pay rates. Combining multiple shifts, overtime, or consulting roles can also boost income, but reaching $300,000 annually typically requires advanced skills, experience, and possibly leadership positions or entrepreneurial opportunities within healthcare. Salary levels vary based on location, experience, and employer policies.

How much do nurses without borders get paid?

Nurses working with organizations like Nurses Without Borders typically earn between $30,000 and $70,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and assignment. Compensation may include stipends, allowances for travel and housing, and benefits, with some roles offering additional incentives for remote or international work.

How to make an extra $2000 a month as a nurse?

Remote nurses can increase their income by taking on additional shifts, working overtime, or offering telehealth consultations outside regular hours. Developing specialized skills or certifications in high-demand areas like telepsychiatry or case management can also command higher pay, enabling nurses to earn extra income beyond their standard salary.

Can I work remotely as a nurse in another country?

Remote nurses without borders can work across countries if they meet the licensing and certification requirements of the specific region. Many remote nursing roles require valid nursing licenses, language proficiency, and familiarity with telehealth tools. Regulations vary by country, so understanding local laws is essential for international remote nursing work.

Job description

Remote Family Medicine Physician - 100% Telehealth - Kansas Licensed Full-Time Monday-Friday $180,000-$220,000

About the Opportunity

Kansas MDs and DOs keep a Wichita, Kansas City metro, or rural home base and practice fully online. Hours are 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM Central, weekdays only.

My client is a leading virtual healthcare organization transforming the delivery of primary and urgent care through an innovative employer-sponsored telehealth model. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join their established clinical team. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice medicine in a fully remote, collaborative environment where physicians are supported by experienced clinical colleagues, dedicated nursing staff, and streamlined technology that allows them to focus on patient care, not administrative burden. The physician will provide comprehensive virtual primary and urgent care to patients nationwide through secure video visits and messaging while delivering a high-quality, relationship-centered care experience.

Why Physicians Love This Opportunity

  • 100% remote position
  • Monday-Friday schedule No weekends or overnight call
  • Four weeks (20 days) of paid time off
  • Collaborative, physician-led culture with excellent work-life balance
  • Dedicated onsite nursing support for care coordination
  • Modern technology with optional AI-assisted documentation
  • Comprehensive medical and dental insurance
  • Malpractice insurance provided
  • 401(k)
  • Reimbursement for additional state medical licenses

Responsibilities

  • Deliver friendly, high-quality, patient-centered primary and urgent care rooted in respect for patients and a passion for helping others.
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic primary care and urgent care conditions, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and coordinating follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team consisting of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Partner with the clinical team to develop and enhance technology that improves patient care and the provider experience.
  • Support clinical education and marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications (Required)

  • MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) state.
  • Minimum of one year of outpatient clinical practice as a Family Medicine or Primary Care Physician.
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM PT (12:00 PM-8:00 PM CT / 1:00 PM-9:00 PM ET).
  • Comfortable utilizing telehealth technology and electronic medical records.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and patient engagement skills.
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care.

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Current participation in the IMLC or active medical licenses in multiple states.
  • Spanish bilingual.
  • Previous telemedicine experience.

Licensure: One IMLC State Is Enough

You only need to be licensed in one participating State of Principal License (SPL) under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact. As long as you hold a full, unrestricted medical license in an eligible SPL and meet the IMLC requirements, you can use the compact's expedited process to obtain licensure in additional participating states, and additional state licenses are reimbursed. Participating states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
