Description
The Kentucky Board of Pharmacy is seeking applications for the position of Attorney.
The Kentucky Board of Pharmacy is the licensing agency for all pharmacies, pharmacists, technicians,interns, manufacturers and wholesalers in Kentucky or conducting business with Kentucky.
We are looking for an individual that is highly motivated and organized with the ability to learn andadapt quickly.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Review of investigative case summaries and exhibits for sufficient evidence.
  • Attend and advise the case review panel.
  • Drafting formal legal documents.
  • Litigate formal complaints pursuant to KRS Chapter 13B.
  • Advise board inspectors on proper investigative techniques and evidence collection.
  • Assist General Counsel and Executive Director in grievance review process.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be admitted to practice law and in good standing in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • Prior experience representing a state agency in KRS 13B administrative proceedings.
  • Experience drafting or reviewing KRS 13A rulemaking.
  • Prior government in-house representation.
  • Understanding of the legislative process in Kentucky.
