Additional Job Description
Required Education/Skills/Work Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college/university in a professional health care discipline (Registered Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Medical Technology, Respiratory or Occupational or Physical Therapy, or Pharmacy) required for hires on or after March 1, 2014; Master's degree preferred. Three (3) years of clinical experience and two (2) years of clinical informatics experience (i.e., developing, implementing and/or supporting clinical information systems) required. Epic Certification is required within 6 months of hire/transfer. Industry accepted informatics/information technology certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer. Demonstrated project management experiences; preferably in IT and healthcare. PMP preferred. Minimum of six sigma green belt preferred.
Active licensure in discipline (RN, RT, ETC) by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
