Customer Support Representative (Manufacturing)
Pasadena, TX (Onsite for Training → Remote After Training)
$24/hr | 4-Month Contract | Potential for Permanent Hire
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Sterling Engineering is hiring a Customer Support Representative for a global manufacturing company in the flow control industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with customer service or sales support experience in a manufacturing environment who enjoys working with customers and cross-functional teams. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to transition to a remote role after training, with potential for permanent employment.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers
  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and support the full bid process
  • Review customer specifications and contract requirements
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales teams
  • Track quotes, forecasts, and sales reports
  • Maintain CRM and sales records
  • Support forecasting, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Deliver excellent customer service while managing multiple priorities

What We're Looking For
  • 0-2 years of customer service, sales support, or commercial experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience preparing quotes, proposals, or supporting contracts
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP systems - Salesforce is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with pumps, rotating equipment, or industrial products is a plus
