This position operates within a detox center, where you will engage with clients in a supportive and healing environment. Although primarily remote, you will conduct virtual assessments and counseling sessions, as well as coordinate with interdisciplinary teams of health professionals including nurses and substance abuse counselors. The role demands flexibility to accommodate client needs, ensuring consistent support and care, even during emergencies or late-night situations as needed.

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' emotional, mental, and social needs.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, addressing specific treatment goals and preferences.
• Provide ongoing counseling and emotional support for clients undergoing detoxification, assisting them in navigating life transitions related to recovery.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to community resources, guiding them through the often-complex landscape of recovery services.
• Work closely with treatment teams to create a cohesive care approach, enhancing the effectiveness of the overall treatment plan.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, offering consistent check-ins and adapting care plans based on ongoing assessments and lived experiences.
• Document all interactions meticulously, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to accurate treatment records.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals in a detox setting who are struggling with substance use and addiction. Clients may face complex psychosocial challenges; therefore, your role will emphasize understanding the nuances of their experiences while facilitating their recovery journey. Collaborating with both clients and their families, you will help empower them to make informed decisions about their treatment and engage actively in their recovery process.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active LCSW licensure in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in social work, particularly within mental health or addiction recovery settings.
• Comprehensive knowledge of substance use disorders, mental health issues, and effective social work practices.
• Exceptional skills in assessment, communication, and conflict resolution.
• A demonstrated ability to connect empathetically with clients and maintain professional boundaries.
