What are remote night jobs?

Remote night jobs are positions that allow employees to work from home or another remote location during nighttime hours. These jobs are ideal for those who prefer or need to work outside of typical daytime schedules. Common remote night jobs include customer service representatives, IT support, data entry, and technical support. Working night shifts remotely can provide flexibility and a better work-life balance for those with daytime commitments. However, it may also require strong self-discipline and the ability to manage sleep schedules effectively.

What are the qualifications to get a remote night job?

The qualifications for a remote night job depend on your responsibilities and the industry in which you work. A translator typically needs certification and a degree or native speaker skills in the languages they work in. A virtual teacher or tutor likewise needs a degree in the subject in which they provide education services. Customer service and technical support jobs require knowledge of the services your employer offers, but these positions do not typically require a specialized degree or professional certification.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote night shift worker, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Night Shift Worker, you need strong time management, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently, often supported by a high school diploma or relevant experience. Familiarity with remote collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and project management systems is typically required. Excellent communication, adaptability to changing tasks, and resilience to manage overnight hours are important soft skills. These abilities ensure productivity, effective teamwork, and consistent performance during non-traditional working hours.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working remote night shifts, and how can they be managed?

Working remote night shifts can present unique challenges such as maintaining a healthy work-life balance, managing sleep schedules, and staying connected with daytime colleagues. To succeed, it's important to establish a consistent routine, create a dedicated workspace free from distractions, and utilize collaboration tools to communicate effectively with your team. Additionally, prioritizing self-care and taking regular breaks can help you stay alert and productive during non-traditional hours.

Job description

ABOUT YOU & THE ROLE
What is Synera? - Where AI Meets Deep-Tech
Synera is on a mission to accelerate engineering with AI. We've built the industry's leading AI Agent platform for engineering teams, enabling companies to turn complex, manual workflows into automated processes - cutting weeks of engineering work down to minutes.
Our AI agents integrate seamlessly with the tools engineers already use, remove bottlenecks in real-world product development, and help deep-tech companies move faster without compromising quality. In a world where engineering speed is a competitive advantage, Synera is defining the new standard.
Having just closed our series B, we're a fast-growing team, and we're rapidly expanding our Revenue teams in Germany and the United States to support increasing demand from innovative deep-tech companies.
If you're excited about selling cutting-edge AI, working close to the market, and building something early - and if you have big plans for your future - now is the right time to join us.
Your Role
Joining us as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) in the US, you'll be the first voice our future customers hear - C-level deciders, engineering leaders, innovation teams, and thought leaders at forward-thinking deep-tech companies.
Your mission: turn curiosity into conversations, and conversations into real business opportunities.
Let's be real: this role is hands-on. You'll spend a lot of time picking up the phone, sending messages, following up, and getting through to tough prospects. Along the way, you will learn how to position and pitch an AI product that delivers value, and how to drive thought leadership in the field of AI. You'll work closely with Sales and Marketing, test different outreach strategies, and help shape how Synera goes to market in the US.
If you enjoy momentum, love the challenge of getting a "yes" from a skeptical prospect, and want to open doors that lead to big deals - we want to hear from you. If you are hungry to take the first step towards a sales career in one of the most exciting fields there is, you have come to the right place.
Your main focus areas:
  • Pipeline Building: You qualify leads and set up meetings for the Account Executive team.
  • Prospect & Qualify: You engage senior leaders and decision-makers via cold outreach (email, LinkedIn, calls, reaching 60+ activities per day).
  • Outbound Excellence: You shape and manage targeted outbound campaigns, working with the Marketing team to optimize messaging.
  • Engage & tell great stories: You spark interest in Synera's Agentic AI solutions through compelling storytelling and value-driven conversations. You experiment and find creative ways to engage with senior leaders and build trustful relationships
  • Iterate & Improve: You analyze outreach performance, test new approaches, and refine our SDR playbook.

In 6 months:
  • You know our domain inside out: who our ideal customers are, what keeps them up at night, and how Synera solves their biggest challenges. You have become an AI native, and curiosity is what drives you daily.
  • You routinely create great Discovery Calls, proving you can turn outreach into meaningful conversations for our Sales team. You have gained great confidence in explaining and pitching a complex tech product.
  • You are a power user of our tools and workflows - from prospecting platforms to CRM systems. Giving and receiving feedback has become a normal part of your day.
  • You understand what makes our product special and be able to speak authentically about the value we bring to teams who want to transform what they do with AI. You love to share knowledge and good practices in an international team.

Here is our team at last year's summer event - join us at the next one!
What's in it for you?
We believe in transparent conversations about compensation from the start. For this role, our planned salary ranges are:
  • Entry Level (OTE): 73.000 - 89.000$
  • Intermediate (OTE): 85.000 - 109.000$

Please note that the salary bands above apply to the Boston area, as an example and may vary by location.
We determine the level we hire you for based on your experience, the scope of responsibilities you'll take on, and the impact you can drive. While we typically hire within these bands, we're open to some flexibility for candidates who bring exceptional value to the role.
Check out this page to learn how we approach salary, career growth, and creating an environment where everyone can shine.
What we offer beyond salary:
  • Flexible working: you decide when and where to work (as long as you have a residency in the US).
  • Flexible public holidays: swap days off according to your values and beliefs!
  • Home office setup support + access to our office in Bremen, or co-working space in Boston.
  • Personal development budget of $2,500. You'll also have the chance to grow together with us!
  • We don't count your vacation days as we trust all our team members to decide what's best for them and the company.
  • Access to the mental health platform nilo to support your well-being.
  • We support you with health insurance, and a 401(k) savings plan.
  • Regular team events, in the US or abroad (Germany)

What you need to succeed
Even if you don't meet these criteria perfectly but believe you have lots to bring to the role, we encourage you to apply. We know it's tough, but please keep in mind that you don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role.
  • You resonate with Synera's Core Values - they're central to how we work, and we'll explore them together in your first interview.
  • You have solid and proven experience in outbound activities in B2B SaaS environment.
  • You can showcase your track record with convincing results (e.g. overachieving quota for multiple quarters).
  • You are able to pitch complex technical solutions (bonus if you have experience in AI, CAD, CAE, or engineering automation).
  • You handle rejections and iterate quickly, you are resilient with a growth mindset.
  • You know CRM systems, cold outreach tools, and LinkedIn prospecting (e.g. Salesforce, Clay, Sales Navigator, Aircall).
  • You enjoy hunting for opportunities!

P.S. Synera is a place where everyone can grow and every voice is valued. So, however you identify yourself and whatever background you have, if this role excites you, please apply with your English CV (no photo or date of birth needed) and tell us how your unique perspective will benefit our Sales team.
