Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Virtualization Administrator/Consultant on our Professional Services Consulting Team in Remote, Nebraska (onsite at Offutt Air Force Base (AFB) in Nebraska). The team member will perform work at a Dell Federal Department of Defense Customer location and work at the direction of the Department of Defense Customer. You'll provide technical support and coordinate tasks and schedule for system integration work.
What you'll achieve
As a Virtualization Administrator in Consulting, you'll provide systems administration for enterprise VMware vSphere solutions and be responsible for maintaining the virtualized environment including all virtual servers and virtual network infrastructure. You'll also maintain networks in a Virtual Machine Software (VMware) environment as well as analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system's servers, hardware, applications and software. You'll also monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
You will:
  • Monitor everyday systems, evaluate availability of all server resources and perform all activities for VMware vSphere software
  • Assist with configuring and deploying all virtual machines and installs and provides backup to all configuration procedures
  • Maintain and monitor all patch releases, designs various patch installation strategies and maintain all systems according to program standards
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 troubleshooting support, interfacing with the end users and other technical teams from a service support perspective
  • Interface and collaborate with the DAN Network Team to perform upstream network management

Essential Requirements:
  • US Citizen
  • Active Top-Secret (TS) Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance and must be Secret Compartmented Information (SCI) eligible
  • ITIL4 certification (or be able to obtain within first 90 days of hire)
  • Possess at least one or more of the following certifications:
    • CompTIA Cloud+
    • CompTIA Security+
    • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
    • Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Essentials (GSEC)

Desirable Requirements:
  • Typically requires 5+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 3+ years with a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent experience

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $97,155 - $125,730.
