Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center- Shreveport is seeking applicants for Academic Internal Medicine physician.

INTERNAL MEDICINE POSITION:

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center- Shreveport is seeking applicants for an Internal Medicine position. Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and be eligible for active Louisiana Medical Licensure. Graduating Medicine residents are welcome to apply. This position is for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicine that will work under the direction of our Chair, Department of Medicine. We are looking for a physician to join our expanding primary care team and provide patients with high-quality treatment and diagnostic services. The ideal candidate is an intuitive healthcare professional whose diagnostic abilities are only matched by their concern for their patients. Openings for Academic and Community positions.

Highlights of the Position:

  • 150 Total faculty including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, nephrology, rheumatology, med-peds and hematology/oncology
  • 90 Residents
  • 67 Fellows
  • 27 APPs
  • Physician leadership and input at all levels of administration.
  • Refill center managing over 70% of your refills
  • Ambient listening available to everyone in Primary care to reduce documentation time
  • LPN Care Coordinators dedicated to closing care gaps on your behalf
  • Ochsner On-Call to reduce call burden
  • Remote messaging Nurses to reduce in basket messages sent through the portal
  • Outpatient Care Managers to assist with complex patient management and helping with social determinant of your patients Health
  • Digital Medicine - supporting the management of patients with chronic conditions.
