Job description

About Clipboard
Our mission is to uplift as many communities as possible. We do this through our app-based marketplace that connects healthcare professionals with the workplaces that need amazing workers. This enables hundreds of thousands of people to achieve financial stability for themselves and their families while providing essential care to millions of people across the U.S.
Founded in 2016, we are a remote-first team of over 1,000 people building a top Y-Combinator company and have been profitable since 2022. We're the leader in Long-Term Care staffing and are rapidly expanding into Home Health, Hospitals, and more, meaning we have more work to do than people to do it, and are growing our team to support millions more people and their communities.
The Opportunity
Clipboard recently rebranded, and we're reinventing how we show up. On socials, in emails, in the app, on our team's LinkedIn pages. Everywhere people can find us, we want to embody three things: trust, opportunity, and joy.
This role makes that happen. You'll be the first dedicated writer at the company, shaping how our narrative actually lands across every channel.
Who We Are
Clipboard connects nurses with shifts at thousands of facilities across the US. We're profitable, growing fast, and investing in new channels to change how we show up publicly.
Some Things You'll Own
  1. Scriptwriting for Million Dollar Nurse: Million Dollar Nurse, our new YouTube channel teaching nurses about money and career growth. You'll be delivering seven short-form scripts and one long-form script every week. Alongside the channel producer, you will research concepts and write scripts built to perform organically on social media.
  2. Community Management: Across our primary company socials and Million Dollar Nurse, you will manage posting (pre-made content), and responding to comments and DMs. You will also keep tabs on where our brand is showing up organically (or should be showing up) and add our voice when applicable.
  3. Executive LinkedIn Program: We have 16 leaders posting on LinkedIn, and we're working to systemize the process. You'll be the writing support behind it, helping turn blog posts and write-ups into native LinkedIn posts, crafting hooks, and polishing rough concepts.

In addition to these scopes, you'll also support the company as a whole in ensuring a consistent tone of voice. This could mean helping craft Meta Ads, billboard designs, the copy in our app, the flyers we hand out at tradeshows, and more.
Who We're Looking For
You're an exceptional writer who understands story. You know why a hook works. You can take a dry research finding and turn it into something someone actually wants to read or watch. You've thought about pacing, tension, and payoff, even if you've never explicitly used those words.
You understand audience psychology. You think about who's on the other end of what you write. What they care about, what they're skeptical of, what'll make them feel seen.
You use AI tools well. Not as a replacement for your thinking, but as an accelerant. You know what they're good at, where they fall down, and how to keep your work from sounding like everyone else's AI slop.
You're a strong researcher. You go from "here's a topic" to "here's the angle nobody else is taking" without hand-holding.
You learn fast. You'll pick up social strategy from our Head of Social, financial concepts as you write about them, and the realities of the nursing world along the way. None of this should feel intimidating. It should feel fun.
Bonus:
  • You've written for social with real results (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • You're into personal finance (a topic relevant to many of the nurses on our platform)
  • You've worked in or around US healthcare
