• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health and emotional well-being, focusing on mood disorders, relationship dynamics, and family challenges.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, addressing specific issues such as divorce, communication barriers, and family conflict.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care practices to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjust treatment approaches as needed, and maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation following ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care and comprehensive treatment plans for clients.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapy practices and client care.
• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to foster collaborative treatment approaches.
• Engage in continual professional development opportunities to expand your skill set in mental health interventions.

This position primarily focuses on individuals and families experiencing difficulties in their relationships and mental health. You will work closely with clients facing a variety of challenges, including divorce, communication issues, and the broader impacts of mood disorders on family life. By applying a strengths-based approach, you will help clients work toward improved relational functioning and emotional wellness.

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is essential.
• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
• A nonjudgmental attitude and empathy are crucial when addressing clients' various experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary to manage caseloads efficiently.

• Experience in utilizing multiple therapeutic modalities, such as structural family therapy or narrative therapy, to address diverse client needs.
• Familiarity with the challenges surrounding divorce and relationship counseling is advantageous.
• A background in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in mental health settings is preferred.
