About the Role
Nao Now is looking for experienced and engaging educators who are familiar with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and approach to learning to support our young learners.
This is a fully remote, part-time independent contractor position where you'll teach 1-on-1 English lessons to children ages 5-12 using our structured, interactive curriculum. We're especially interested in educators who have experience working in IB schools or with IB programs, and who understand how to encourage inquiry, critical thinking, communication, and learner independence.
If you have experience with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) or other IB programmes and enjoy making learning meaningful, engaging, and student-centered, we'd love to hear from you.
No lesson planning is required. All curriculum and teaching materials are provided, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons and helping students build confidence in communicating in English.
Key Responsibilities
  • Teach 25-minute, one-on-one online English lessons to children ages 5-12
  • Deliver engaging lessons using Nao Now's structured curriculum
  • Apply age-appropriate inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approaches when appropriate
  • Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, communication, and independent thinking
  • Connect classroom conversations to real-world topics and students' interests
  • Support students in expressing their ideas clearly and confidently in English
  • Create a positive, supportive, and interactive virtual learning environment
  • Provide thoughtful lesson feedback after each class
  • Maintain a professional, energetic, and encouraging on-camera presence
Schedule Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 teaching hours per week
  • Available during peak teaching hours:
    • Monday-Friday
    • 5:30 PM-10:00 PM KST
  • Minimum 3-month commitment
  • Consistent weekly availability required
Compensation
  • Starting at $20 USD per hour
  • Paid per completed 25-minute lesson
  • Compensation based on qualifications, experience, and evaluation performance

  • Training session and onboarding are unpaid
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or proof of current enrollment in a bachelor's program
