Remote Multifamily Asset Management information

What is remote multifamily asset management?

Remote multifamily asset management involves overseeing and optimizing real estate assets such as apartment buildings and multifamily properties without being physically present on site. Asset managers in this role use technology and digital tools to monitor property performance, coordinate with on-site staff, manage budgets, and ensure that investment goals are met. This approach allows for efficient oversight of multiple properties, often spread across different locations, and is increasingly popular due to advancements in property management software and remote communication tools.

How does a remote multifamily asset manager effectively collaborate with on-site property teams and other stakeholders?

Remote multifamily asset managers rely heavily on clear communication and digital tools to stay connected with on-site property managers, leasing staff, and maintenance teams. Regular video conferences, scheduled reporting, and shared management platforms help ensure alignment on property performance, budgeting, and operational issues. Building strong relationships remotely requires proactive outreach and responsiveness, as well as setting clear expectations with each stakeholder. Successful remote asset managers also coordinate closely with regional managers, vendors, and ownership groups to drive property value and resolve challenges efficiently.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote multifamily asset manager, and why are they important?

To excel as a Remote Multifamily Asset Manager, you need expertise in real estate finance, property operations, and portfolio analysis, often supported by a degree in finance, real estate, or business. Familiarity with property management software (such as Yardi or RealPage), financial modeling tools, and relevant certifications like CPM or CCIM is highly valued. Strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and self-motivation are essential soft skills for coordinating with onsite teams and stakeholders. These competencies ensure optimal asset performance, streamlined remote management, and maximized returns for property owners and investors.

Job Description

Global Head Asset Management (AM) GTM Lead

Overview

As the Global Head Asset Management (AM) GTM Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of go-to-market (GTM) strategies for the AM product portfolio. Reporting directly to the Global Head Autonomous IT GTM, you will act as a key contributor to business growth, customer engagement, and operational excellence within our Autonomous IT growth motion – helping customers reduce cost, risk, and complexity across their software, hardware, and cloud assets. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with a passion for customer-centric innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage directly with strategic customers to understand needs, drive adoption, and ensure satisfaction. Serve as a practitioner and advocate for customer-centricity, maintaining feedback loops to inform GTM decisions.

  • Design and activate prioritized sales plays that maximize pipeline generation, progression, and new net annual contract value (NNACV). Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive execution.

  • Drive CIO GTM plays, repeatable motions, and readiness programs across geographies (AMS, EMEA, APAC, Japan), ensuring consistent field enablement and performance tracking.

  • Support the Autonomous IT motion by increasing AM attach rate and expansion across CIO/IT deals, in alignment with GTM priorities around selling the NOW platform.

  • Elevate, simplify, and transform solution messaging in partnership with Product Solution Marketing (PSM), ensuring clarity and impact across all channels.

  • Collaborate with the AM BU to develop and refine GTM strategies, including insights into pricing, packaging, and market positioning, as needed.

  • Drive integration of GTM initiatives across Global Partnerships & Channels (GPC), Customer Excellence Group (CEG), PSM, and Industry Solutions to ensure scalability and performance tracking.

  • Support partner co-sell strategy and solution partner enablement to unlock joint growth and market reach.

  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitive shifts, and emerging technologies to inform GTM strategy and positioning.

  • Represent the company at industry events, panels, and executive forums.

  • Support deal execution across stages, including but not limited to planning, discovery calls, engagement plans, workshops etc.

  • Support high-impact deals, advising field and geo leadership on strategic execution and customer unlock.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in GTM strategy, solution sales, business operations, or customer success, with at least 3 years in a senior role.

  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and operational execution in complex, matrixed environments.

  • Deep experience engaging with senior stakeholders (e.g. CIOs) and influencing executive decision-making.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and storytelling skills.

  • Experience in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise technology preferred.

  • Familiarity with asset management – software asset management (SAM), hardware asset management (HAM), and cloud/SaaS spend and FinOps – or adjacent domains is a plus.

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.

What we offer

  • Senior leader level visibility and impact.

  • A dynamic, collaborative environment with top-tier talent.

  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
