Key Responsibilities

As an LMFT at Sunny Valley, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting intake assessments to understand clients' unique needs and contextualizing these within their family systems.
  • Facilitating individual, couples, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices tailored to diverse client backgrounds.

  • Providing bilingual psychotherapy services in both English and Spanish to expand access to care among the community.
  • Maintaining accurate client records using electronic health record (EHR) software while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Participating in regular supervision and team collaboration meetings to enhance therapeutic skills and share insights.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your clientele will encompass a broad spectrum of individuals, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from various cultural backgrounds. You will provide support for issues such as trauma, grief, LGBTQ+ concerns, and perinatal mental health. Your ability to work with diverse populations is crucial to fostering connections and facilitating healing.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must have:

  • Training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) methodologies.
  • A willingness to be on at least one insurance panel as an in-network provider.
Preferred Experience

While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, candidates with specialized training in areas such as trauma, grief and loss, or LGBTQ+ issues will be given preference. Previous experience offering telehealth services and utilizing EHR systems is also advantageous.
