About the Organization

At Motion in Mind Counseling Center, we are committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment for trauma survivors. Our outpatient facility specializes in a range of mental health challenges, with a particular focus on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our mission is to empower individuals through healing and recovery by providing tailored therapeutic interventions that resonate with their unique experiences.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, leveraging the power of telehealth to facilitate therapy sessions with our clients. Our telehealth setup is designed to support both therapists and patients effectively, providing essential tools and technologies to ensure seamless communication and interaction. You will work from the comfort of your own home while making a significant impact on clients' mental health journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to capture patients' trauma histories, aiding in the formulation of meaningful treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with patients to develop and implement personalized treatment strategies focused on trauma recovery and resilience enhancement.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing during one-on-one and group therapy sessions.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, providing compassionate guidance and a stabilizing presence.
  • Educate patients and their families on understanding trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to empower them in their healing journey.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements, ensuring our practice remains both accountable and secure.
  • Participate in case consultations and team meetings to enhance collaborative care, benefiting from diverse professional insights.
  • Commit to continuous professional development by staying informed on the latest research and best practices related to trauma therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Motion in Mind, you will primarily support individuals dealing with the aftermath of trauma. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse patient population that includes children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating the complexities of PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Each patient will require a uniquely tailored approach, and your role will be crucial in fostering a therapeutic relationship that promotes trust, healing, and growth.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
  • Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate demeanor and a non-judgmental attitude.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring efficient and secure patient documentation.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, focusing on trauma-informed care.
  • Experience delivering trauma-focused therapeutic interventions is highly valued.
  • Adeptness in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a welcoming financial package, our employees benefit from:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits package to support your overall well-being.
  • A retirement savings plan featuring employer-matching contributions, securing your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage to safeguard your practice.
  • Ongoing opportunities for continuing education and professional development to refine your skills.
  • A nurturing and collaborative workplace culture that supports career advancement.
