Job description

Position Overview

The Teens Advocate Program & Mental Counseling is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our team in a remote capacity. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the emotional and psychological well-being of individuals and families. The ideal candidate will bring a strong therapeutic background and a passion for fostering personal growth and healing.

About the Organization

Teens Advocate Program & Mental Counseling is committed to providing high-quality mental health services specifically designed for underserved populations in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our mission is to enhance access to mental health care and support two primary aims: facilitating personal development and promoting emotional stability. We pride ourselves on our client-centered approach, where our compassionate specialists are not only trained professionals but also thoughtful listeners and allies in our clients' journeys.

Work Environment

As a remote worker, you will enjoy the flexibility of a home office while engaging with an outpatient clinic model. This setup allows you to maintain work-life balance while still benefiting from a collaborative environment. Team members actively participate in regular virtual team meetings to discuss best practices, share resources, and engage in professional developmentโ€”fostering both individual growth and team cohesion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs and develop individualized therapy strategies that promote healing and personal growth.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic practices, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, families, and groups, ensuring an environment of trust and safety for open communication.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive client care, integrating perspectives from allied health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records in compliance with legal requirements and ethical standards, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems effectively.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through workshops and training to stay current with the latest mental health research and therapeutic methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily serves adolescents and their families who may be facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance-related issues. Our organization focuses on those with limited access to mental health resources, making it crucial for counselors to approach each client with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to equitable care.

Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid and unrestricted Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in the state of Nevada.
  • A solid understanding of legal and ethical standards in the mental health field.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and foster trust with diverse clients.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
  • Proficiency in using EMR software and a comfort level with technology for remote services.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of clinical counseling experience in settings that serve adolescents and families.
  • A specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma therapy, or substance use counseling is highly desirable.
  • A proactive approach to managing and recommending therapeutic strategies tailored to individual needs.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. In addition to competitive pay, we offer extensive benefits, including:

  • Dental, vision, and health insurance for you and your family.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage to protect your professional practice.
  • Opportunities for client referrals to help you build your caseload.
  • Support with billing and documentation to alleviate administrative burdens.
  • A generous sign-on bonus is available upon joining our team.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Teens Advocate Program & Mental Counseling, we are committed to the professional development of our employees. Counselors will have opportunities to participate in ongoing training, workshops, and mentorship programs designed to enhance skills and promote career advancement within the organization.

Why Join Our Team
