The Role

Imply is looking for a motivated and curious Business Development Representative (BDR), to help grow the adoption of our newest product, Imply Lumi. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical, fast-evolving space and enjoys engaging with technical buyers (SREs, DevOps, etc). As a BDR, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying prospective customers and will play a critical role in building the pipeline and educating the market on Imply Lumi.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting (email, LinkedIn, events, and target campaigns).
  • Research heavily into accounts to maximize the value of outreach
  • Qualify inbound leads and guide early-stage discovery conversations
  • Educate prospects on the value of Imply Lumi use cases
  • Partner with Account Executives to transition qualified opportunities and support deal progression
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to refine messaging and campaign targeting
  • Maintain accurate activity & pipeline tracking in SFDC
  • Continuously learn about the product, the landscape and SaaS industry trends

Key Metrics Measured

  • Opportunities created and accepted by sales team
  • Daily and Weekly activity regarding outreach to prospects/existing customers (Linkedin, email, phone, marketing campaigns)
  • Qualify opportunities that progress through sales pipeline

Requirements

  • Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and be self-motivated
  • A passion for research as well as strong in-person, phone, and written customer communication skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to make formal and informal presentations to staff and clients
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on the needs of the department or business goals
  • Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce

Individual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications aligned with Imply's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks. The below range encompasses roles with on target earnings. This role is also eligible to participate in Imply's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
