Position Summary

DSI Technology Solutions is seeking a high-performing Technology Solutions Account Executive based in Dothan, Alabama to drive profitable growth throughout the Wiregrass region, the Florida panhandle, and the surrounding Southeast territory. This role is responsible for generating new business, expanding existing customer relationships, and promoting DSI's Total Solutions strategy that integrates security technology, monitoring, managed services, and operational consulting into a single customer solution.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Business Development amp; Sales Growth
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and enterprise verticals.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities through cold outreach, referrals, networking events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Drive growth in new logo accounts while expanding wallet share within existing customer relationships.
  • Pursue multi-site and national account opportunities throughout the Southeast region, including South Alabama, the Florida panhandle, and Southwest Georgia.

Solutions Selling – DSI Total Solutions

  • Position the full DSI portfolio: video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, fire monitoring, structured cabling, audio/visual integration, and managed services.
  • Promote recurring revenue offerings including remote video monitoring, virtual guard services, NSOC managed services, hosted access control, and service agreements.
  • Consult with customers to design integrated solutions that reduce risk, optimize labor, and lower total cost of ownership through technology.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project management to deliver scoped, accurate, and competitive proposals.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts; build trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Conduct regular customer reviews to ensure satisfaction, identify expansion opportunities, and capture renewal revenue.
  • Lead site walks, needs assessments, and discovery sessions in coordination with technical sales engineers.
  • Pipeline, Forecasting amp; Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and current opportunity data in CRM; provide reliable weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings with concise pipeline updates, wins, and at-risk opportunities.
  • Track KPIs including new logo wins, RMR added, gross margin, proposal velocity, and close rate.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience, preferably in electronic security, low-voltage integration, IT, or related technology services.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a solutions-selling environment.
  • Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Working knowledge of access control, video surveillance, and IP-based security platforms.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools, Microsoft 365, and proposal/quoting workflows.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned region.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing book of business or established relationships within the assigned territory.
  • Industry certifications such as PSP or CPP, or manufacturer credentials with platforms like Avigilon, Verkada, Salto, Alarm.com, OpenEye, Brivo, or similar.
  • Experience selling managed services, RMR-based offerings, or as-a-service models.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, or related field.
