In this remote role, you will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to mental health excellence. • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mood disorder symptoms, including their intensity and impact on daily functioning.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance outcomes.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the treatment of mood disorders to continually improve therapeutic strategies.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all client documentation and interactions.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and promote awareness to reduce stigma associated with mental health challenges.

The primary focus of this role will be working with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will provide therapeutic support to diverse populations, including underserved groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your work will play a critical role in helping clients navigate their emotional struggles, fostering resilience and promoting recovery.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, nonjudgmental attitude, and understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health issues.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

• Experience delivering therapy to clients with mood disorders and a solid understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Background in working with diverse populations and a commitment to cultural competence in therapy.
• Experience in a community health setting, particularly in roles involving client advocacy and support is a plus.
