Small Steps Developmental Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. • Manage a caseload of clients, establishing trust and maintaining professional relationships while adhering to ethical boundaries.
• Regularly meet with clients for sessions aimed at reviewing progress and discussing any necessary adjustments to their treatment plan.
• Develop, implement, and track person-centered treatment plans that are specifically tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation through progress notes and maintain comprehensive records for each client.
• Conduct intake assessments to gauge the mental health needs of new clients.
• Participate in scheduled supervisory sessions to enhance clinical skills and share insights with peers.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and client support.
• Embrace a growth mindset to continually improve service delivery and personal development.

Our practice serves a broad client base, including adults, children, and families facing various mental health challenges. As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating healing processes, supporting clients as they navigate personal struggles, and enhancing their resilience. You will be expected to deliver direct therapy services and engage clients in treatment modalities that promote their psychological well-being.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas.
• At least one year of post-graduate experience working in a clinical outpatient setting.
• Proficiency with technology, including experience with spreadsheet software, electronic medical records, and telehealth platforms.

• Hands-on experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
• Competency in performing intake assessments and familiarity with treatment planning.
• Experience in telehealth environments is preferred, demonstrating adaptability to virtual conducting of mental health sessions.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience and credentials. Within our fee-for-service employment model, you can expect guaranteed pay rates that are issued ahead of collections—eliminating payment delays. Additional benefits include:
