• Conduct thorough crisis assessments and interventions for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate access to support.
• Provide compassionate counseling and evidence-based strategies for clients struggling with addiction, trauma, and emotional crises.
• Collaborate with emergency service providers and law enforcement to ensure client safety during critical situations.
• Develop personalized crisis intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of each client while facilitating ongoing support and referrals to additional care services.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation methods to manage challenging situations and promote a sense of safety for clients.

You will primarily serve individuals facing mental health crises, with a strong emphasis on those dealing with addiction and trauma. • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in New York.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• Solid grounding in trauma-informed care and crisis counseling methodologies.
• Competency in evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and effective de-escalation strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to forge trusting relationships with clients.
• A culturally competent approach, demonstrating empathy and understanding for clients from varied backgrounds.

• Additional training or certification in trauma-informed practices, addiction counseling, or a specialized area of mental health.
• Experience providing counseling services to individuals in immediate psychological crisis, particularly in a remote or telehealth context.
