Counter Unmanned System Operational Planner
The Opportunity:
As an expert in training integration, your unique skillset inspires you to think bigger, push further, and ask questions others don't. We need your extensive industry knowledge and advisory skills to help solve some of our clients' most complex problems and find solutions that keep our nation safe.
As a Special Operations Forces (SOF) Counter Unmanned Systems Operational Planner, you'll bring your expertise on emergent SOF capabilities, training, and force modernization background to collaborate with thought leaders in the Force Protection community on the integration of urgent and emergent capabilities into Army formations, including Counter Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS), Electronic Warfare (EW), and cyber solutions. You'll use your skills as you ensure urgent and emergent equities are represented in command-level briefings, documents, and guidance, and perform internal and external coordination on SOF issues. You'll assist a U.S. Army client with analyzing and understanding capability gaps from UAS threats. You'll prepare recommendations for the client regarding materiel and non-materiel solutions to close gaps. You'll engage in the development of documents that address C-UAS capabilities and emergent sUAS threats. You'll assist with integrating theater-specific training requirements and coordinate with operational commands, force providers, and partner nations regarding C-sUAS, EW and cyber training, equipment, and resourcing. You'll produce reports, information papers, briefings, and other products for command leadership on sUAS threats, C-UAS, EW, and cyber capabilities, including materiel and non-materiel solutions. Your ability to navigate Army staff functions and unit training plans while coordinating with internal and external training stakeholders will enhance Force Protection and Readiness of soldiers and units.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience working with the U.S. military as a senior NCO or Officer
  • 6+ years of experience working on cyber, EW, or C-sUAS programs or activities
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience with air defense, EW, or C-sUAS, or 10+ years of experience with air defense, EW, or C-sUAS in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with airspace coordination
  • Experience with the GEMSIS, GIANT, or EW requesting process
  • Knowledge of processing applications for Certificates of Authorization (COA) or Airspace Access Approval (AAA) from the FAA, to plan and support S-UAS planning and coordination for Special Use Airspace (SUA), National Airspace, and Restricted Airspace
  • Knowledge of processing Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) for S-UAS and GPS NOTAMs

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
