We provide training, jobs, and support services for people with barriers to employment who seek greater independence. Our mission is funded through the sale of donated clothing and household items in Goodwill stores and online. We are a group of nearly 300 mission minded employees in Northern MN & WI working as one. Job Summary
The Mission Project Coordinator supports the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental operations. This positionโฏis responsibleโฏforโฏsupportingโฏthe development and advancement ofโฏmissionโฏdepartment programs,โฏprojects,โฏand initiatives.โฏโฏThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at creating structure and improving processes.โฏ
Duties and Responsibilities
Data Tracking & Reporting:
- Maintainaccurateand up-to-date program data across internal systems and databases.
- Assistwith compliance documentation, data integrity processes, and reporting deadlines.
- Partner withโฏmissionโฏleadershipโฏteamโฏtoโฏmaintainโฏand updateโฏprogram outcomes, success stories,โฏand metricsโฏonโฏmultipleโฏplatformsโฏand throughโฏmultiple channels.
Marketing/Outreach:
- Serve as the liaison with theMarketing andDevelopment department, communicating program updates, success stories, graduation dates, and other newsworthyevents.
- Support the marketing department todevelop mission department outreach materials,as needed.
- Ensure donors and grant funders arerecognized appropriately on allpromotional materials.
Operational Efficiencies:
- Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies usingTeams, Monday.com, SharePoint, and others.
- Implement process improvement strategies to support the missiondepartmentprogramming growth and expansion.
- Provide general administrativeassistanceincluding scheduling, filing,anddocument preparation.
- Maintain organized digital and physical office files and directories.
- Assistwith onboarding tasks fornew staff, including system access and document setup.
- Serve as a point of contact for office supplies, equipment requests, and basic troubleshooting.
Project Coordination:
- Coordinate workforce development andre-entry focusedprojects, programs, andotherinitiatives inpartnership with Mission Leadership team.
Project & Workflow Coordination
- Assistin implementing new systems and organizing tools to enhance organizational structure.
- Track deadlines, projects, and follow-through tasks tomaintainoperational alignment.
- CoordinateโฏMission Departmentโsโฏworkforce developmentโฏandโฏSecond Chanceโฏprojects, programs,โฏandโฏinitiatives in partnershipโฏwith Mission Leadership Team.โฏCurrent and upcoming projects, programs, andโฏinitiativesโฏincludeโฏCareerNavigationCenterโฏlaunch,โฏFinancial Opportunity Center,โฏmissionโฏintegrationโฏwithBusinessServices,โฏruralโฏmobileโฏmissionโฏunit,โฏYouthBuild,โฏparticipant/clientโฏgraduations, staff trainings,โฏcommittee meetings, andโฏothers.โฏ
- Under guidance from the Chief Mission Officer,โฏimplementโฏprocess improvement strategies to supportโฏtheMissionโฏDepartmentโsโฏgeographicโฏgrowthโฏand efficient use of resources.
- Serve asโฏa liaisonโฏwith theโฏMarketing and Developmentdepartmentโฏcommunicating program updates, success stories,โฏgraduation dates, and other newsworthy opportunities.โฏ
Experience and Education :โฏ
- Strong organizational skills,โฏable toโฏmanage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyโฏโฏ
- Professional communication skillsโฏboth written and oralโฏ
- Knowledge of/or ability to learn about the impact of poverty and the justice system on our low-income familiesโฏ
- Experience with scheduling appointments, coordinating meetingsโฏ
- Strong computer literacy and technical skillsโฏ
