Regional Vice President - Midwest: Heritage Landscape Supply Group

Heritage Landscape Supply Group is seeking a strategic, operationally focused leader to serve as Regional Vice President - Midwest. This executive-level role is responsible for leading and growing a multi-location region while driving operational excellence, team development, customer partnership, and financial performance across the Midwest market.

The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep operational and commercial experience in branch-based wholesale distribution (landscape supply experience a plus), or a related industry. This individual will partner closely with regional leadership teams to execute growth strategies, strengthen culture, improve operational performance, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and execute regional business and operational strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Drive financial performance across the region, including revenue growth, profitability, labor productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and mentor high-performing regional and branch leadership teams
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, safety, customer service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze operational and financial performance metrics to identify opportunities and proactively address risks.
  • Partner with branch leaders to improve execution across sales, operations, inventory, logistics, and customer experience.
  • Support acquisitions, integrations, and organizational transformation initiatives as needed.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support long-term growth.
  • Champion innovation and operational best practices across the region.
  • Serve as a key liaison between field operations and executive leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, distribution, landscape supply, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success of leading regional, multi-state/geographically dispersed operations and sales management teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Successful track record of effectively managing full financial P&L accountability, Growing Revenue, Gross Margin, Operating Income/EBITDA, while controlling Labor Productivity and Cost Management.
  • An effective developer of talent across all levels of branch operations and sales to both build high performing teams and pipeline benches to support the company's growth.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence organizational change, and drive accountability.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on leadership approach and a bias for action.
  • Experience improving operational processes, efficiency, and service delivery.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Operations Management, Industrial Distribution or related field preferred.
  • Background in landscape, wholesale distribution, or construction-related industries.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading through growth, transformation, or acquisition integration environments.

Travel

This role requires regular travel throughout the Midwest region, 50% - 75% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

The Regional Vice President, Operations role is remote office-based and requires standard physical activities typical of corporate executive positions. Additionally, the position involves periodically moving throughout the region in assigned branches to attend meetings or collaborating with team members. Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential for successful interaction with colleagues and stakeholders. Frequent travel (50%-75%+) is necessary to various locations within the designated region, and to our Field Support Center, McKinney, TX.
