Job description

Microsoft Exchange Technical Lead

Location: Remote position

  • Ability to present and lead meetings, oversee and peer review technical staff.

  • Exchange administrator with 3-5 years experience in maintaining, configuring, patching and upgrading on premise exchange components such as ESXi hosts and load balancers (Netscalers) and virtual windows servers running Exchange 2019, Web Application Proxy, Active Directory Federated Servers, Azure AD Connect, EMC SourceOne, and SQL.

  • Track and report mailbox usage data on a regular basis using PowerShell scripting.
  • Develop and update technical documentation including operations and maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures, design and configuration documentation.
  • Provide daily ticket support for customers on incidents and troubleshooting providing screen share support and detailed ticket journaling.
  • Provide daily ticket support for customer requests such as managing retention policies, SMTP relay requests, Mailbox restores, PST file imports, etc.
  • Review and resolve security vulnerabilities as reported by the ISSO.
  • Submit change requests for system changes and attend the Change Control Board meetings as needed
  • Review and analyze Microsoft Exchange enhancements and make recommendations on the impact.
  • Review application logs weekly to check for system anomalies and report them to management.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and integration support for system owners to connect applications to the mail system.
  • Provide afterhours on-call rotation support to monitor system logs and address any issues that may arise.
  • Manage SLA for system configuration changes, breaches, patch management, and critical security patches.
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
