Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement relational and non-relational databases within Azure environments
  • Build and maintain enterprise data lakes and supporting data architectures
  • Develop and implement efficient data transformation solutions to support business requirements
  • Optimize data access patterns, database performance, and scalability across cloud platforms
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and architectural artifacts
  • Partner with security, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure compliance with enterprise security standards
  • Design and implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity solutions
  • Support CI/CD processes and automation initiatives for database deployment and management
  • Monitor database environments and proactively resolve performance and reliability issues
  • Provide knowledge transfer, mentoring, and technical guidance to team members and stakeholders

Skills & Experience You Should Possess

  • 8+ years of professional experience as a Database Engineer, Database Developer, Data Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and implementing relational and non-relational databases in Azure
  • Experience building and supporting Azure-based data lakes and cloud data platforms
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and modern data processing solutions
  • Strong experience with Oracle databases and database administration concepts
  • Expertise developing and implementing data transformation solutions and cloud integrations
  • Strong experience coding, testing, and deploying data loading processes using Azure data utilities
  • Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines for data and database deployments
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and best practices
  • Experience implementing role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and network security controls
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with Azure Monitor, Azure Data Factory, SQL Analytics, Query Performance Insight, Azure Resource Manager, and Azure CLI/PowerShell
  • Experience developing backup, recovery, geo-replication, and disaster recovery strategies in Azure
  • Knowledge of Azure SQL Database, Managed Instances, and Elastic Pools

Education & Certifications You Need
