Understanding Minds, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This full-time remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while providing essential therapeutic services to individuals and families. This position is fully remote, enabling you to deliver therapy in a comfortable setting conducive to both you and your clients. Our organization advocates for a positive work-life balance, offering flexible scheduling options with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. As part of your role, you will work closely with our dedicated team of professionals, participating in virtual meetings and training sessions designed to enhance your therapeutic skills and professional development.

In your role as an LMFT, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, issues, and mental health histories.
• Develop and implement tailored therapy plans that address individual, couple, and family challenges.
• Provide therapy through various modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to engage clients effectively.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and our organization’s policies.
• Actively participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and peer collaboration to stay current with best practices in therapy.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions when needed, creating a supportive group dynamic that encourages open discussion and peer support.

At Understanding Minds, LLC, you will serve a diverse client population, including individuals facing marital issues, families grappling with communication challenges, and adolescents navigating developmental hurdles. To succeed in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Current and valid LMFT license in the state of Maryland.
• Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based therapeutic methods with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary for building rapport with clients and collaborating with colleagues.

While two years of clinical experience is required, any additional experience in family therapy settings or specialized training in modalities such as Emotionally Focused Therapy or Narrative Therapy will be highly regarded. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems will also be beneficial.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 – $90,000 yearly, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including:
