• Conduct thorough assessments with families to identify the underlying dynamics and issues impacting their relationships.

• Educate families on behavioral patterns that may negatively affect their lives and relationships, providing them with tools for change.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on specific goals, helping clients progress methodically towards desired outcomes.
• Support clients through various challenges, including managing grief, enhancing communication, stabilizing home environments, and improving educational situations for children.
• Maintain detailed documentation of sessions and progress within our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in family therapy.

As an LMFT at Desert Mind Behavioral Health Center, you will work primarily with families and couples facing a variety of challenges such as communication breakdowns, behavioral issues in children, and relationship conflicts. Our diverse client base reflects the community's multicultural fabric, requiring you to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet varied cultural and socioeconomic needs.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Valid state license to practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated proficiency in family therapy techniques and a deep understanding of family systems theory.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Previous experience as a marriage or family therapist is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with telehealth technologies and best practices in providing remote therapy.
• Knowledge of community resources and additional support services to assist clients effectively.
