Sales Representative

Position Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for leading territory sales, developing and executing strategic sales plans, and driving revenue growth in the with a variety of minor metal using customers.

The Sales Representative will help drive sales for Vital Materials' Functional Materials division of metal products in the United States territory. These materials include Bismuth, Selenium, Cadmium, Cobalt, and Indium based metals. Forms include, ingots, powders, liquids, oxides and more.

This role will focus on expanding market share, building strong customer relationships, and ensuring alignment between sales goals and overall business objectives. The Sales Representative will leverage deep industry knowledge to identify new opportunities, optimize pricing strategies, and strengthen the company's competitive position.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new market segments, product opportunities, and geographic expansion strategies.
  • Set annual sales goals, budgets, and performance targets, ensuring consistent achievement of revenue objectives.

Business Development & Customer Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Oversee key account management, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Negotiate major contracts and pricing agreements with customers.

Market & Industry Expertise

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and new technologies in chemical manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with marketing, R&D, and operations teams to ensure product offerings meet market needs.
  • Provide input into product development and innovation initiatives based on customer feedback and market demands.

Sales Operations & Reporting

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
