The Opportunity

As a dedicated Business Rules Analyst Senior, you will gather and analyze internal business requirements by means of interviews, workflow analyses and facilitated discussions with users. Translates users' business requirements into detailed functional designs for development, testing and implementation. Applies methodologies and prepares detailed specifications and related documentation. Assists business partners with the identification and documentation of business rules. Ensures that rules and associated metadata are governed appropriately while stored within a single source of truth.

What you do:

  • Design and modifies application rules and configurations to facilitate business user needs.
  • Serve as liaison to IT to ensure adequate execution of business user needs.
  • Serve as Subject Manager Expert for systems supported in business functions, to include researching data lineage and managing end-to-end data integration points for source to target of financial data.
  • Lead teams on project management, system change management, business rules and analysis and development, product development, product maintenance, service delivery and changes to existing systems/applications.
  • Coordinate and manages project enhancements to benefit business users.
  • Ensure change control processes and procedures encompass and/or adhere to enterprise or industry guidelines or best practices.
  • Review post implementation documentation for lessons learned and recommends procedural or process updates for future initiatives.
  • Facilitate and designs business testing to ensure adequate user performance across system supported.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in development of creative solutions for business requirements or product offerings; advises on strategic and tactical solutions.
  • Work with LOBs, vendors, and other internal resources to define business requirements and coordinate system enhancements to achieve Function, Line of Business, and Association objectives.
  • Analyze options to determine best course of action to resolve or prevent future system outages or production issues.
  • Present recommendation and executes required actions.
  • Provide guidance to staff and assists management with workflow/workload schedule.
  • Summarize insights from analysis and use findings to develop business rules.
  • Maintain the Business Rules Repository and the enforcement of data governance requirements for all rule data housed within the application.
  • Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.


What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 6 years of experience consulting with customers/stakeholders, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions, including 3 years of experience in cost benefit analysis methodologies and tools; OR Advanced degree in Information Management, Information Studies or related field with 4 years of experience consulting with customers/stakeholders, understanding business needs, and translating needs into requirements and prescribing technology solutions, including 1 year of experience in cost benefit analysis methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience gathering and authoring Business Requirements and solutions for projects.
  • Advanced written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, interpersonal skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Proven knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance, industry regulations, risk management practices, and regulatory data sources.
  • US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner [optional].

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $93,770 - $179,240.
