Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and preliminary interviews, meticulously documenting cases from the first consultation through discharge.
• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health with the aim of creating tailored and actionable treatment plans.
• Design and implement effective intervention strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, fostering a safe and respectful setting that encourages open dialogue.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans in collaboration with other mental health professionals as required.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.
• Assist clients' families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges.
• Stay current with developments in psychotherapy, integrating the latest research and best practices into your treatment methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous records in electronic health record systems, like AVATAR, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction disorders, and other mental health conditions. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in aligning treatment with each client's unique background and life circumstances, which often include significant emotional, social, and economic challenges.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible manner.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, serving a similar client population.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, as a tool for documentation and care coordination.
• Knowledge of the effects of psychotropic medications as prescribed by supporting medical professionals and the ability to educate clients on these effects.
• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• A background in addressing and treating co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Riverside Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus for qualifying candidates.
