Job Description:

Saab, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Lead Program Performance Management Analyst to support our rapidly growing organization. This position is eligible for full-time remote.


This key role requires a candidate skilled in MS Project and has a proven track record of success managing complex schedules and partnering with stakeholders to ensure program execution.

Responsibilities include:

Program Planning and Performance Analysis:

  • The analyst will lead the development of the program cost and/or schedule baselines within the contract parameters, the analysis of program performance (historical and predictive), the monitoring of the contract/program Estimate at Complete while reviewing results with and making recommendations to program teams.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in the guidance and mentoring of program teams and Program Performance Management (PPM) staff in program management tools and processes.

  • Integrates subcontractor and material cost and schedules data into program data.

  • Advanced analysis in the contract/program Estimate at Complete (EAC), Management Reserve, Risk and Opportunity Management.

  • Prepares and presents accurate and timely program review documents to senior leadership.

  • Reconciles program data with the latest contract modifications.

  • Defines requirements to solve common business problems.

  • Fosters an environment of trust and teamwork: build collaborative relationships internally and externally.

  • Interfaces with multiple IPT leads and PMs across multiple geographic locations.

  • Demonstrates EVMS compliance through audits.

  • Communicates professionally and effectively with team members and customers.

  • Supports other programs with expertise during critical time frames.

  • Works on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Responsible for coordination and accuracy of timely program deliverables.

  • Acts as change agent, challenges the status quo.

  • Leads the development of the detailed IMP and IMS to meet all contract and program objectives and supports the integration of cost and schedule data.

  • Ensures advanced schedule techniques (health and quality checks, resource loading, critical path analysis, and risk analysis) are applied effectively to drive proactive decisions.

  • Ensures major projects and program schedules are horizontally and vertically integrated and resolves network logic conflicts.

  • Creates and analyzes program milestone charts.

  • Creates and manages WBS, IMP, and IMS for proposals.

Technical Guidance and Process Innovation:

  • Mentors and trains employees in planning and scheduling best practices.

  • Leads efforts to automate processes to solve common business problems.

  • Leads the design of tests to evaluate new EVMS and/or schedule tools, analyze test results, and makes recommendations to support operational improvement.

  • Leads the incorporation of new EVMS and/or schedule tools.

  • Leads tool re-design to improve performance.

  • Trains analysts in the EVMS and schedule tools.

  • Serves as a senior resource to other analysts in developing solutions that meet complex business requirements.

  • Leads process changes to improve overall efficiency of program performance management function.

Typical Salary Range:$115,700 - $150,500 for our Syracuse, NY, New York Remote, Orlando, FL, Remote Florida, Remote Arizona locations. $138,900 - $180,600 for our Washington, DC Remote, Quincy, MA, locations.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in a business, engineering or related discipline

  • 8+ years' experience in a technical, business, military, professional or U.S. Government Contractor environment.

Required Skills:

  • MS Project, MS Office Suite, Deltek Cobra, Integrating Scheduling Data with Manpower, EVMS, and Proposal Support Systems

  • IMP/IMS Development and Maintenance on DoD programs with EVM requirements

  • Critical Path Analysis and Slack Management
