We are hiring a Merchandising Consultant to lead pricing and promotion engagements across both implementation projects and ongoing service delivery. This is a hybrid role: you will configure our platform end to end and bring real merchandising judgment to the customers you work with. It is not a pure advisory seat, and it is not a pure technical seat.ย 

What makes this role differentย 

The hard part of this job is not the configuration. Our platform is UI-driven, and you will have technical consultants backing you on anything that lives in the database or the backend. The hard part is guiding the customer to a better way of working.ย 

Your job is to understand the customer's strategy and implement our tool according to that strategy, not according to the workarounds they have lived with for years. That means walking in with an opinion. When a category manager asks "what do you expect us to do here?" you should have a recommendation, grounded in how the work gets done.ย 

To do that well, you need to have lived the day-to-day yourself. You should understand the tradeoffs a category manager, pricing analyst, or promo planner works within, the tensions they manage, and where the friction sits. This role is built on practitioner capability.ย 

What you'll doย 

  • Lead pricing and promotion engagements end to end, from process discovery and design through configuration, testing, and go-liveย 
  • Configure the Pricing & Promotions platform to fit the customer's strategy, including promotional objectives, pricing rules, and workflow setup, with technical consultants supporting anything beyond the UIย 
  • Advise customers on how to run pricing and promotions, not just how to operate the software. Recommend an approach rather than transcribe their existing oneย 
  • Support change management with the customer's end users. Adoption does not happen on its own; you will actively drive it, build confidence, and close the gap between a working system and a system people actually useย 
  • Use AI-assisted tooling to build solutions for your engagements quickly, such as configurations, queries, dashboards, and lightweight automations tailored to the customer in front of youย 
  • Develop analytics and KPI views that prove out the business case and track value after go-liveย 
  • Present findings and recommendations to both operational teams and executive stakeholdersย 
  • Support sales as a subject-matter expert: solution positioning, RFI responses, and ROI developmentย 
  • Work with global colleagues on international engagements and share what you learn back into the teamย 

What we're looking forย 

Required: hands-on merchandising experience. This is the core of the role.ย 

  • 4+ years in a hands-on merchandising, category management, pricing, or promotions role at a retailer or supplier (for example, owning a category, running a pricing strategy, or planning and executing promotions). We are looking for practitioner experience, not general retail consulting or project managementย 
  • A point of view on how pricing and promotions should be run, and the confidence to recommend it to a customerย 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving instincts, and comfort working with large datasets to find the answerย 
  • The ability to translate a customer's strategy into a software configuration that supports itย 
  • Comfort leading people through changeย 
  • Willingness and curiosity to use AI-assisted tooling to build things faster (we will help you get there if you are newer to it)ย 
  • An adaptable, collaborative, self-directed approach. You can build a customer relationship and spot value without being told toย 
  • Fluent English, Willingness to travel up to roughly 25%ย 

Nice to haveย 

  • Experience implementing or supporting enterprise software through a full project lifecycleย 
  • A degree in a relevant field such as business, economics, industrial engineering, or supply chainย 
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing processes, delivering training, and supporting user acceptance testingย 
  • Fluent in Spanishย
